REVIEW | 22 Jump Street (2014)

By Guest Movie Reviewer: Angela Rose Mayo

If you enjoyed watching the first movie, 21 Jump Street, then you’ll surely enjoy watching 22 Jump Street.

You might think they can’t beat the laughs from the first movie, but 22 Jump Street gave even better laughs. They continued the style of the two cops going to school. Last time they went to high school—for the second time, actually—and they cracked the case, but in this movie, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) went to college.

They have different lives in college; Jenko is a football buff and Schmidt has a girlfriend. Schmidt couldn’t catch up with Jenko’s ways in college because Jenko could do a lot of parkour, goes to a lot of parties, and does lifting a lot, while Schmidt couldn’t do any of those. They kinda broke up in this movie, with lines that you’ll usually hear from boyfriends and girlfriends breaking up, which made me laugh.

You’ll see their brotherly relationship in this movie because Jenko meets this guy who is also in the football team and they become like bros. They think alike and love doing the same things. Schmidt gets jealous that Jenko has found his other half, who even shares half a brain. Hahaha.

You should go ahead and watch the movie because it’s two thumbs up! You’ll get a lot of laughs!
