An all-new cast is about to experience the road trip of their lives in the family movie “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul” based on the bestselling young adult book series by Jeff Kinney.

In the latest movie “Diary of a Wimpy Kid:The Long Haul,” Greg Heffley convinced his family to attend their grandmother’s 90th birthday party. Unknown to his parents, Greg just wants to attend a gamers’ convention nearby their grandmother’s house and soon, the trip goes hilariously off-course.

The all-new cast includes Alicia Silverstone, Jason Ian Drucker, Charlie Wright, Owen Asztalos and Tom Everett Scott directed by David Bowers. Author Kinney said that the latest movie will take on a very timely theme, one that “every family is talking about” particularly the tension between gadgets time and real family time. “This is a chance for us to tell the contemporary family’s story and to do it in a humorous way,” said Kinney.

“When Alicia Silverstone’s name was first floated, it cau…

Everyone knows the fabled Arthurian legend…or at least thinks they do. But in the hands of director Guy Ritchie, the tale takes on a decidedly gritty, modern edge in Warner Bros. Pictures' King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, in Philippine cinemas May 17, 2017.

In the film, Arthur is not yet king, but is instead a ruffian – a thoroughly reluctant hero compelled to discover his true destiny even as he fights against the very monarchy he is meant to rule.

“I think the best narratives take a man on a journey that transcends his limitations and allows him to evolve from his most basic nature into someone worthy of a bigger life,” says Ritchie, who also co-wrote and produced the film. “In our version of the story, Arthur’s life starts small: an urchin in a brothel, running the streets, learning to fight and dodging the law with his mates. Then the actions of others—some with good, some with not-so-good intentions—force him to expand his vision of who he could be.”

Charlie Hunnam, who stars i…

Chris Evans’ latest movie “Gifted” where he co-stars with Oscar winner Octavia Spencer, along with a multi-talented cast that includes Jenny Slate, McKenna Grace and Lindsay Duncan is a deeply charming story of a young child math prodigy and his uncle who are unexpectedly thrown into a custody battle that neither of them approves.

“Gifted” began its journey to the big screen when producer Karen Lunder, who has produced an assortment of films including “Arrival,” remembers a conversation with producer Andy Cohen in which she asked: “‘What do you have that’s great and different? What is the thing you’re most excited about?’ He sent me Gifted that was written by Tom Flynn. When I read the script, it had this timeless quality to it.”

Tom Flynn has had a successful career in Hollywood. “He’d done really well selling big comedy scripts to the studios,” GIFTED producer and Flynn’s literary manager Andy Cohen explains. Flynn left Hollywood for Florida where he started sellin…

The father of the iconic franchise “Alien” returns in the latest pulse-pounding instalment “Alien: Covenant” where he will take the audience in the darkest corners of the crew’s psyche in a new planet that stars an impressive cast - Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Guy Pearce and Danny McBride.

If anyone knows how to terrify audiences with smart, sophisticated storytelling, it’s Scott. His original Alien remains a standard bearer for the horror genre, a psychologically taut, uncomfortably claustrophobic film, as lean and effective as the sleek, vicious beast that first stalked Ellen Ripley and the crew of the starship Nostromo back in 1979. “In a funny kind of way, I always thought of Alien as a B-movie, really well done,” Scott says. “The subtext was pretty basic—it was seven people locked in the old dark house and who’s going to die first and who’s going to survive.”

“Alien: Covenant” finds Walter (Fassbender) tending to the ship Covenant where all of its crew ar…
